Solar System project:
The purpose of this assignment was to gain better understanding of our solar system and how the forces that sculpt it operate. We also learned how humans are capable to measure planets with different methods. Our project was a model of the solar system to scale.
What I learned by doing this assignment was, new formulas, new information about the planets, and how small we really are. New formulas I learned were the circumference, c= π × diameter = 2 × π × radius. The circumference of a circle is the distance around a circle. This assignment also helped me understand how big and how far away our planet's are.
Video Reflections:
This assignment was to see videos based on what we're learning and reflect on what science we learned from the video? What is the significance of the science? What questions did we have as a result of watching the video.The questions could've been about the science or maybe about possibilities for further study?
What I learned by doing these assignments was why the solar system is flat, and what the higgs boson is. The solar system is flat because it loses its loft over the time because of collisions and crashes. The higgs boson is the last fundamental piece of the standard model of particle physics to be discovered experimentally. It is basically all the electromagnetic interactions.
